Summary

This course introduces PhD students to the main data infrastructures and research practices relevant for empirical economic research. The focus is on (i) the institutional and commercial data landscape, (ii) research data centers and official statistics, and (iii) principles of open science, preregistration, and research data management. Each session combines an input lecture, practical exercises, and group reflection.
